Evening Advent Concerts
November 15 to December 29, 2024
Lucerne Tourism and its partners invite you to live concerts on the stage and sporting and cultural activities on Europaplatz:
On selected dates from Wednesday to Sunday, you can enjoy around 30 free concerts by a wide variety of bands, singers, choirs and regional and national musicians on the winter show stage on Europaplatz.
There will be fairy tales for the little ones and the young at heart and ice skating courses for the sporty ones organised by the Lucerne Ice Club. The Lucerne Hockey Club will also be a guest on the ‘Eiszauber’ ice rink.
A treat for the eyes, ears and palate
It's back! The popular ice rink on Europlatz with views of the city, lake and mountains. From November 13, 2024 to January 2, 2025, you can once again skate for free at "Ice Magic Lucerne". The event is accompanied by the "Fyrobig Adväntskonzärt" with regional and national bands, musicians and choirs, with fairy tale hours and theater performances on the winter show stage. The cultural program is complemented by a sports program with courses in figure skating, curling and ice skating shows. The patronage partners Lucerne Tourism and Lucerne Hotels cordially invite the public and guests to the events with free admission. A magical winter chalet with winter specialties provides culinary delights.

Christmas tree on Europaplatz
A spruce fir, 15 meters high
Once again this winter, from the end of November 2024, the wonderfully illuminated large Christmas tree will shine and bathe Europaplatz in Christmas glow.
Soak up the pre-Christmas atmosphere with a warming drink or a winter delicacy and take a few laps on the "Ice Magic Lucerne" ice rink. Enjoy the sparkling of the wonderful Christmas tree and the sounds of the "Fyrobig Adväntskonzärt" on the Europaplatz in the middle of Lucerne.

The time before Christmas - when the days are at their shortest and the nights at their longest - has always been a time to reflect on life, let go of the unpleasant and focus on the new. Turn the wheel of fortune and treat yourself to A ROUND OF QUIET in the Christmas yurt with a question! 13 to 23 December from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. behind St Matthew's Church.
