Having found itself in demand as a tourist destination in 2024, Lucerne can look back on a very successful year. In 2024, 6.4% more visitors stayed overnight in the city of Lucerne and 3.1% more in the region than in the previous year. Lucerne was most popular with visitors from Switzerland, the USA and Germany. Value added through tourism has also developed positively.
