Fish stocking and landscape staging create the Melchsee destination
From the 1940s onwards, the Obwalden Fishing Association contributed to the expansion of tourism on Melchsee-Frutt. In addition to intensive fish stocking in Lake Melchsee, the association successfully staged the landscape as a romantic and patriotic Alpine experience. This triggered a change in the cultural landscape that is still present today. An evening with Noah Businger, historian, and Yves Gubelmann, environmental engineer.
The event will take place in the Sust in the Grafenort manor house, admission is free (collection). The café-bar in the Sust opens at 6.45 pm. Please note: The number of places is limited - the principle of “first come, first served” applies.
