Into the new festival season with Beethoven!
Under the direction of Riccardo Chailly and Pablo Heras-Casado, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra will perform selected Beethoven symphonies as well as the violin concerto with violin shooting star Daniel Lozakovich. Fabulous soloists from the orchestra will also perform a chamber concert with works by Dvořák and Tchaikovsky.

Since 2022, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra no longer only performs in summer. It also attracts classical music fans from all over the world to Lucerne in spring, when it organises a three-day festival of music on the weekend around Palm Sunday, focusing on one composer at a time with orchestral and chamber concerts. Felix Mendelssohn kicked things off in 2022/23: his five symphonies were performed - and entered into a dialogue with works by important contemporaries. Now we continue with a fresh look at Ludwig van Beethoven.
