The Winkelriedhaus is one of three buildings of the Nidwalden Museum in Stans. Alongside the town hall and the Höfli, the Winkelriedhaus is one of the most important secular buildings in the canton of Nidwalden.
The Winkelriedhaus is now used as a museum for art. In the old patrician house, a permanent exhibition with works from the collection introduces visitors to the art history of the region. The pavilion in the garden shows three temporary exhibitions every year with artists who have a connection to Nidwalden or are otherwise exciting for the region.
