Path of Creation, Stage 3

The Way of Creation is a spiritual trail in three stages. The varied landscape is a constant source of amazement at nature. If you are on the move here, you are looking for a stop and simplicity.

The third stage leads from the monastery St. Joseph in Muotathal to the Antonius House Mattli in Morschach. Most of them are hiking and mountain trails, only rarely do you have to walk on asphalted roads. Alpine pastures, woodlands, flower meadows and valley crossings alternate. You simply walk through this rich, unspoilt landscape. On the third stage, too, you will pass oak columns with contemplative texts that encourage short meditation. The first ten kilometres are mainly uphill, sometimes steep. At the beginning the noise of the Muota accompanies you, later it goes along the deep ravine of the Hüribach. Via the Wannentritt and various alpine pastures you reach the holiday resort of Stoos. On the way, your eyes will feast on the view into the valley to the meandering Muota and the view to the Great Mythen. From Stoos it is only a few kilometres on a light forest path to the Antoniushaus Mattli in Morschach. This is in a wonderful location and is committed to Franciscan spirituality.
