The route is part of SwitzerlandMobility Route No. 38, sometimes on panoramic paths above Lake Lucerne, sometimes along the shore from Weggis to Lucerne.

Climate-spoilt Weggis is the starting point for the cycle tour. The Weggis tourist information centre rents out bikes and e-bikes. After Greppen, you reach Küssnacht am Rigi, the "Hohle Gasse" is off the route. In Küssnacht, the route climbs, but the view of the lake and the mountains is all the more beautiful. You soon reach the Lucerne Museum of Transport via the hill and cycle along the lake to the city centre. The return journey can be made by boat (departures from Lucerne or from the Museum of Transport).
