This relaxing and enjoyable round tour on a rented electric bicycle takes you from Brunnen across the fields to the canton's capital Schwyz and around the idyllic Lauerzersee. The excursion is rounded off with a visit to the Forum of Swiss History (modernes Museum zur Entstehungsgeschichte der Schweiz), with a picnic from the bicycle basket at Lake Lauerz and a refreshing dip in the lake.

Relaxation, exercise, nature - treat yourself to some time out in the Schwyz valley basin.

Starting point of the tour is Brunnen. Redeem the picnic voucher at the Conditorei Schelbert in Brunnen. On a flat path, the tour leads along the hill of the Ingenbohl monastery out of the village center of Brunnen. After a slight climb you reach the hamlet of Schönenbuch and enjoy a beautiful view of the valley and the main town of Schwyz, your first stage destination. In the Schwyz museum 'Forum Swiss History' you will witness the oath of the three confederates on the adventure trail. After a lot of history, your head needs some fresh air and your belly needs to be refreshed as well. Cycle with your enjoyment basket to the shores of the Lauerzersee. There are many cozy spots around the lake, pick your favorite. After the break, the ride continues around the lake, possibly soon the next stop for the ferry crossing to the island of Schwanau beckons. Back to Brunnen, the route always follows the foot of the Rigi.

The starting point in Brunnen is the Tourist Information. Right nearby is the confectionery Schelbert. We recommend that you fill your picnic basket before setting off. You drive east of the railroad line to the viaduct, a short distance along the Schwyzerstrasse in the direction of Schwyz and after the restaurant Chlosterbächli turn right in the direction of the monastery Ingenbohl. At the traffic ban turn left and drive past Holcim and take the short climb to Schönenbuch. Enjoy the quiet side road with great views. At the end of the road turn left towards Ibach until you reach the Muota bridge on the main road. Now you have to pedal hard past the shopping center Mythen Center and the knife factory Victorinox to the traffic circle in front of the Schwyz main square. At the traffic circle take the second exit towards Seewen SZ (Bahnhofstrasse). Follow this road until you reach the museum "Forum Schweizer Geschichte". Now dive into the adventure course of the Middle Ages.

After the museum stop, get back on the saddle with much anticipation for the picnic. Ride along Bahnhofstrasse in the direction of Seewen and take the turnoff to the left at the Bundesbriefmuseum, so you can bypass the main road. It goes delightfully downhill between lush meadows. At the end of the road, turn right and go straight on to the Schwyz-Seewen train station. After the station, take the underpass to Unterseewen and always keep right. At the intersection of the highway exit turn left in the direction of the ice rink and Seebad Seewen. Now you are at the Lauerzersee and follow road around the lake. After circling the lake, drive again in the direction of Unterseewen and now always keep to the right, at the foot of the Rigi. At the restaurant Alpenrösli it is worthwhile to take the climb to the right, you will then have a beautiful view of Brunnen, Lake Lucerne and the mountains of Uri. At the historic wooden bridge over the Muota you drive straight ahead and at the restaurant Pluspunkt you also drive straight across the crossing. At the end of the road, turn right into Bahnhofstrasse and after 300 m you will reach your starting point again.
