Niederrickenbach - Alpboden - Haldigrat - Brisen - Glattgrat - Brisenhaus - Niederrickenbach

On the way from Niederrickenbach to Alpboden the Mount Brisen seems majestic. The Alpboden - Haldigrat chairlift saves you 700 metres in altitude and the twelve minutes on the chair lift give you time to slowly get closer to the mountain. On the Haldigrat we meet Kurt, who has been operating "his chairlift" and the mountain restaurant here for almost 20 years.

Directions

The cable car Dallenwil-Niederrickenbach takes us to the starting point of the hike. From Niederrickenbach to Alpboden it takes about 30 minutes. Afterwards we walk 700 metres up to the Haldigrat. If you like, you can take the chairlift Alpboden - Haldigrat. From the Haldigrat mountain station everything goes over the ridge, at the top somewhat slippery to the 2403m high mount Brisen. The panoramic view is brilliant! Attention when descending on the south side of the Brisen and via Steinalper Jochli / Schuenegg. Over the Glattgrat and descent we reach the Brisenhaus, where we can spend the night. After that we return to Niederrickenbach.
