A cross-country trail for pleasure runners

The varied cross-country skiing trail in Muotathal is guaranteed to snow and runs along the southern side of the valley. It meanders between farms and open spaces, forest edges and along brooks. It leads over simple and flat terrain.

On this circuit, which is prepared for classic and skating, everything is perfect for pleasure runners: the length of 6 kilometres, the gentle ups and downs in the valley floor and the magnificent Muotathal landscape. The Widmen and Wichel loops are also used by walkers and sometimes even by the Husky Lodge sled dogs. What a pleasure to see these power and energy packages at work. Those who want to train after work can use the 1.7 kilometre long night trail. The entrance to the cross-country ski run is signposted from the public car park on Poststrasse.
