This circular tour is peppered with scenic highlights including THE road bike pass in the Zurich region, the Sattelegg.

This route is a MUST for every road cyclist, whether ambitious or not. The scenery is a delight, peppered with many highlights: Lake Zurich, the Wägital, the Sattelegg Pass, the Sihlhochtal with the Ybrig, Lake Sihl, the Mythen, Einsiedeln with the Einsiedeln Monastery, the St. Meinrad Pass and Rapperswil. The route is also extremely varied from a topographical point of view. Climbs are always followed by phases in which you can take it a little easier to recover for the following ascents.

There is also plenty on offer for culinary connoisseurs. Numerous ächtSCHWYZ restaurants offer the opportunity to replenish your energy stores with Schwyz specialties.

Directions & Parking facilities

To Rapperswil:

From the A53 highway, take exit no. 12 (Rapperswil) or no. 13 (Jona). From the A3 highway, take exit no. 39 (Schindellegi) or no. 40 (Pfäffikon/SZ) and drive over the Seedamm to Rapperswil.

After Pfäffikon/SZ:

From the A3 highway, take exit no. 39 (Schindellegi) or no. 40 (Pfäffikon/SZ) and drive in the direction of Rapperswil and park at the Hotel Seedamm-Plaza.

After Lachen:

From the A3 highway, take exit no. 41 and drive towards Lachen harbor. Large parking lot at the Hotel Marina Lachen.

To Einsiedeln:

From the A3 highway, take exit no. 37 (Richterswil) or exit no. 39 (Schindellegi) and drive towards Einsiedeln. From Lucerne, Zug or Schwyz via Sattel and Biberbrugg to Einsiedeln.

Rapperswil:

Parking garage See, Rapperswil (subject to charge)

Pfäffikon/SZ:

Hotel Seedamm-Plaza (subject to charge)

Lachen:

Parking lot at the lake (chargeable)

Einsiedeln:
