This hike leads from Mosen to Gelfingen, passing various wine estates and Heidegg castle.

The hike starts at Gelfingen railway station, initially skirting a section of Lake Hallwil. The first wine estate is located in Aesch, Canton Lucerne.

After the Klosterhof, the trail continues over the stream through the forest. Some 2 km further on you reach the highest point of the hike. You then proceed through the Altwisertobel ravine to the Lourdes Grotto in Hitzkirch. Passing the Hitzkirch Commandry, you soon arrive at the Kaiserspan wine estate.

Around a kilometre further on you reach Heidegg castle with its delightful rose garden. Open to the public (please note the opening hours), this is a great spot to linger. Below the castle is the Heidegg wine estate.

The end of the trail (Gelfingen railway station) is some 15 minutes' walk from the Heidegg Estate.
