The Chruteren-Bawangli-Seilstock winter hiking trail is an endurance tour around the Seilstock.

The tour starts at the top station of the funicular railroad, where it first goes up a small hill to below the ski house Ibach. From there you hike on to Brunnerboden, Chruteren, Bawangli. At the quietly situated Bawangli you can enjoy the romantic winter landscape. Continue around the Seilstock and then take the path back to Chruteren, Brunnerboden and the starting point.

Back in the mountain village, cozy pubs invite you to linger.

Directions & Parking facilities

By car on the A4 to the Schwyz exit, then in the direction of Muotathal to the valley station of the funicular Schwyz-Stoos or by car on Morschacherstrasse (at Wolfsprung), then follow the signs to Morschach and continue to the valley station of the small cable car Morschach-Stoos.
Parking is available at the valley station of the Schwyz-Stoos funicular and the cable car Morschach-Stoos.
By train to Schwyz-Seewen station, then by bus to the valley station of the funicular Schwyz-Stoos (line 501 Schwyz - Muotathal) or by train to SBB Brunnen station, then by bus to the valley station of the small cable car Morschach-Stoos.
