Tranquil route: Sursee-Schlierbach-Sursee

From Sursee, this round tour visits the hamlets of Krumbach and Wetzwil on its way up to the range of hills separating the Suren and Wyna valleys. Nestled in the countryside, the little municipality of Schlierbach lies at alt. 700 metres. Savour the fabulous views of the Swiss Central Plateau with its countless wave-like successions of hills. Passing through meadows and woodland high above the Suren valley, you follow the route to Wellnau, another hamlet before descending to Triengen.

Why not take a break in Triengen, such as at the Church of St. Laurentius or the Flying Ranch airfield? Its large terrace provides front-row views of the airplanes and of the many parachutists who, from spring to autumn, jump from planes over Triengen to land back on the airfield. 

The route returns to Sursee along the silently flowing tree-lined Sure.
