Classical Concert

The first Weggis Sunday concert of the coming winter season will take place on November 10 at 17.00 hrs. in the catholic church. Guest soloist Hilmar Gertschen, organist of the Naters parish church and titular organist of the Kollegium church Brig, will present an extremely audience-friendly programme. The well-traveled artist from Valais, who has also performed in Weggis, plays J.S. Bach's Prelude and Fugue in C major BWV 545 as well as compositions from the German and French Romantic periods. He will play the 1st Organ Sonata by Felix Mendelssohn, three organ pieces by A.P.Fr. Boëly, the Cantabile No. 2 by César Franck and the popular Suite Gothique by Léon Boëllmann as a brilliant finale.
