Freeride is a group activity! Book your place in a group of 3 to 6 participants and make new friends on the mountain. Choose between Variable Terrain and Freeride Introduction. Minimum age: 14 years.

Variable Terrain - On-Piste

Develop your own skiing style and build confidence to master different types of terrain and snow conditions such as moguls, powder, hard snow and uneven terrain. A great preparation for off-piste adventures. The course takes place in a secured ski area.

Freeride Introduction - Off-Piste

Get a comprehensive introduction to off-piste skiing, including challenging variable terrain conditions and safety aspects of skiing outside the secured ski area. Together we will explore some classic Engelberg freeride routes.

Requirements
Variable terrain - on-piste: Safe skiing on black pistes, good fitness.

Freeride Introduction - Off-piste: Safe skiing on black pistes, including variable terrain; good health and strong fitness.

Equipment
Variable terrain - on-piste: No avalanche equipment required. Skis with a centre width of approx. 80-110 mm are recommended.

Freeride Introduction - Off-piste: Avalanche equipment required (avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe). Rental available at Prime. Skis with a centre width of approx. 80-110 mm are recommended.
