Join us on an impressive snowshoe tour, led by hiking guide Marcel Hähni (SRF 1) and dog trainer Anja Papenberg. Explore the snow-covered winter landscape of Sattel-Hochstuckli together with your dog and experience a winter adventure off the beaten track!
Participants: Min. 10 / Max. 12 people
Requirements: Demanding - ideal for slightly advanced teams in good physical condition (unsuitable for small dogs due to deep snow)
Meeting point: Mostelberg mountain inn, Sattel-Hochstuckli
Important information for dog teams:
- Social behavior: Dogs should be compatible with people and other dogs.
- Dogs must be kept on a lead during the entire tour.
- Fitness: Both dog and human should be in good condition.
Equipment for the dog:
- Suitable harness (Y-harness or pulling harness)
- Treats and sufficient water for on the way (not cold)
- Dry towel or coat for the restaurant stay
Good to know:
- Paw protection: For long-haired dogs, trim the hair between the toes and use paw protection cream.
- Be careful when eating snow: Can cause stomach problems.
Equipment for humans:
- Sturdy, warm hiking boots (possibly gaiters)
- Belly belt or belt for dog sports with pull rope/bungee leash (2-3 m)
- Thermos flask with warm drink
Procedure of the day
- 09:00 a.m. - Welcome of the participants with coffee and croissants
- 09:30 a.m. - Start of the guided snowshoe tour (approx. 2 hours incl. breaks & photo stops)
- Approx. 12:30 - Lunch together at the Mostelberg mountain restaurant
