Situated in Lucerne's old town, yet away from the busy shopping area, the Christmas market creates a uniquely contemplative atmosphere. In the centre of the Christmas market, as its trademark so to speak, the largest Advent wreath in Central Switzerland shines on the Franciscan fountain with a diameter of more than three metres, decorated with hundreds of lights and baubles as well as four metre-high candles.
