San Gottardo adventure train

The definition of “commuting” is to leave your home to go to work. Even though the Gotthard mountain railway line is not a traditional commuter route, trains travel along it regularly. Hop on board the Erlebniszug San Gottardo pulled by the Ce 6/8 II “Crocodile” or the Ae 6/6 “Zug” locomotive.

Drinks and snacks can be purchased on the train against cash or card payment. For lunch you can choose between the restaurants Defanti or Stazione in Lavor-go or the restaurant Albergo Stazione in Bodio. We recommend to ask in advance about the opening hours and to reserve a table. During the midday stop, the train is put away. During this time, passengers are not allowed to stay on the train.
