Schwyz is a proud place with a rich past and culture. Swiss history was written here, which can still be seen today in the well-preserved town centre. This is characterised by stately patrician houses, the baroque main square with the town hall and the imposing parish church as well as numerous picturesque old alleyways. On an hour-long scenic tour of the village, you will immerse yourself in life in the 17th century and gain a completely new perspective of the village.

"Söldner Tschännel" is a historical figure who, although invented, could have lived in Schwyz. Hans Gwerder, known as "Tschännel", enlisted indiscriminately as a traveller with all kinds of princes and lords and thus experienced several smaller wars in Spain, France and Italy. He also did a little petty trading on the side. He certainly didn't get rich doing this, but he experienced the most amazing stories. He wants to sweeten his retirement with one last trade. He will be happy to tell you about this and many of his experiences as a mercenary on the guided tour.
