- Start: St. Karl
- Destination: St. Karl
Before you start, enjoy a short ride with the small cable car from the village of Illgau up to St. Karl. Once you reach the top, you can take a deep breath and open your senses to the power town of St. Karl. The trail climbs evenly at the beginning, but not steeply. It reflects the gentle landscape, away from the lively ski business. A few metres of altitude difference have to be climbed to Sternenegg. A short break is worthwhile to appreciate the wonderful view over the Mythen, the Muotathaler mountains and the Urner Alps. It continues comfortably, slightly downhill, via Alp Oberer Altberg to Oberberg. On the terrace of the cosy inn you can extend your stay in the fairytale-like winter landscape. In just ten minutes you are back at your starting point and the aerial cableway inevitably takes you back to everyday life.
