Directions
Passing the Schnitzturm (sight), we follow the road next to Lake Lucerne. Shortly after "Harissen Bucht" you pass the entrance to the former military fortress Fürigen, a 200 metre long cave system that is now a museum. One kilometre after the quarry we reach the area of Kehrsiten. The places name refers to cherries (Chirscheten), which grow splendidly in the mild climate here. At the first houses or in front of the boat station the ascent towards Bürgenstock begins. After the last homesteads the forest path winds up to the resort, at the end over the completely new "hanging stairs" behind the hotels.
Kehrsitenstrasse is partially closed for renovation, www.nidwalden.com/stansstad.
Equipment
Gute Schuhe und eine dem Wetter entsprechende Ausrüstung wird empfohlen.
Directions
Die Kehrsitenstrasse ist teilweise gesperrt wegen Sanierung.
Kostenpflichtige Parkplätze hat es beim Bürgenstock Resort zur Verfügung.
Es bestehen regelmässige Zugverbindungen nach Stansstad.
