Explore the Brunni area with snowshoes and enjoy breathtaking views on the sunny side of Engelberg. The free sports bus takes you from Engelberg railway station to the Brunni valley station, where you can take the Brunni railway on Ristis. The 3 km long Schönboden Snow Shoe Trail starts at the Restaurant Ristis and leads first along the road to the west past the valley station. After approx. 1 km the trail climbs uphill, once you have reached the highest point, you can enjoy the view of Engelberg. The trail then descends and crosses the winter hiking trail. Back to the starting point, you first cross open terrain and then follow the forest. On this trail there are several metres of altitude to overcome, so it is slightly longer and slightly more demanding than the Riedalp Trail.
