The starting point of the hike is Innerthal on the idyllic Wägitalersee. On the first section of the route, you walk along a road from Lake Wägital towards Gwürzwald. From there, the route continues along a varied nature trail to Schwarzenegg. During a short break for a drink at Schwarzenegg, you can already see the imposing limestone walls of the Bockmattli towers. You then hike further up towards the Bochmattli hut. On the last half kilometre, a path finally leads you to the climbing hut.

Directions & Parking facilities
On the A3 motorway from Zurich in the direction of Chur, take exit 41-Lachen in the direction of Wangen/Siebnen. Then turn right towards Zeughausstrasse. Then follow the signs to Wägital until you reach Innerthal. Park your car in Innerthal in a paid car park.
Schwyz to Innerthal:
Take route 8 in the direction of Pfäffikon/Einsiedeln/Sattel. Take route 8 as far as Schindellegi. There take the 2nd exit at the roundabout in the direction of Chur/Rapperswil/Seedamm-Center. Turn right onto the A3 motorway before Pfäffikon. Take exit 41-Lachen in the direction of Wangen/Siebnen. Then turn right towards Zeughausstrasse. Then follow the signs for Wägital until you reach Innerthal. Park your car in Innerthal in a pay and display car park.
Take the S2 from Zurich main station to Siebnen-Wangen and then the 523 bus to Innerthal, Post.
Schwyz to Innerthal:
From Schwyz railway station, take the bus (no. 1) to Schwyz, Post. Change to the bus (no. 7) to Biberbrugg, Bahnhof. In Biberbrugg, change from the bus to the S 40 and take the train to Pfäffikon SZ. At Pfäffikon station, take the S2 to Siebnen-Wangen. Once at the station, take the 523 bus to Innerthal, Post.
